It would be interesting to know how many of them were killed by someone who has had dropped charges, reduced sentences, prior felonies etc in the past. The only hope I see against our liberal coddling of criminals is a backlash from police who get fed up with it. Our system is great at minor drug offenses but for felonies the system goes out of its way and spares to expense to let the felons off easy. Prosecutors run up impressive conviction rates doing this but that is not protecting citizens. I am very anti drug but Proabition did not work and as long as the war on drugs focuses on minor offenses it never will either. O,h forgot to mention dropped gun charges, seems to be the first thing that goes away. The ninth officer this year was murdered last night in Richmond, VA. That's one every sixty-one hours! This must end!
