    ABC can do some really long blanks. IIRC, he told me he can do up to like 40" or something. You'd need to ask him to be certain but he can do longer blanks than most makers. Just FWIW. I know a lot of the long range guys like longer barrels. You don't see them much in short range, though. If it's speed you're after, a different cartridge would be something to consider. A 30 BR is great but as good as it is, it's not a speed demon. :)

    Brian is TOP NOTCH! 30brs are fun and are absolute hammers. I love shooting whitetails with mine!

    +1 on the recoil pad.

    Also, a 30BR uses about all of the 4198 in about 22 inches of barrel. My best barrel is down to about 20 1/2 inches, and it still shoots my 112 at a tad over 3000 FPS with 34.8 grns of 4198.

    But the extra length sure won’t hurt anything.
