Any will do. I have three different ones in the case. PLENTY of power, but I have a friend who uses the AA battery thing and the radar sucks them dry in about 4-6 hours max.

I forgot that I too got the free battery pack deal. Pretty large battery along with Heavy Duty Hook and Look to attach it.
