I've given myself a budget of $450for a new scope to sit on my 20practical and have it narrowed down to either a sightron s-tac or a vortex viper 6.5x20pa. I've owned the viper before and sold it because it just didn't suit my needs at the time. I really like the sightron but my biggest hang up is I really don't know how sightron's warrenty is. Can any of you guys speak on behalf of their Warrenty or even make a suggestion for scope?. Im using a Bushnell elite now that I love except the mil-dot reticle drives me nuts, and bushel will not replace the reticle. It's power range is great at 7-21 and the Japanese glass is nice too but that reticle has to go.

I use mostly Nightforce scopes on my custom guns, but put a Primary Arms 5x on my ar. For less than $300 it was a good value. My brother visited the factory just a couple of weeks ago. They are built right next to the vortexes.

450.00 will get you the scope and rings if looking at an STAC 4-20x50 duplex. The MOA is a bit more.
