Help me spend money

Time to buy a real target 22 for rimfire f class mostly and the william buck memorial 50 yard indoor second.

I spent way to much on a savage that may eventually shoot but till then help me pick a rifle.

Budget 1600 ish definitely would love to spend less and yes used is my first option.

Rem 40x
Anschutz
Walther
Rem 37
Talk to me help me find it

I have 1k in my wallet and working on another 1200 with deals in the works.

I want 3" forearm and parallel butt stock. If a rifle doesnt have those or close the cost of a stock and bedding will need included in price.

Im waiting on Kelbly to get back to me with a price but for roughly 1700 i can get a 1416 anschutz 64 bedded in their 1M stock.

I have a friend that will sell me a civilian 40x target for 12050ish that will need a br stock

I can assure you that a 54 that shoots like a 54 is supposed to can take you solidly into NRA Master class in sbr f-class.

I'm interested to hear how other guns compare to the 54.

I have always heard anshutz are a top rimfire, and unless i make a good sell i dont think a vudoo is going to happen. That is why i want some help.

Save a bit more and get a Vudoo. You won't appreciate an ingenious piece of equipment until you handle one. Only other one that has a ton of options available is a 40x. Any stock, trigger etc that fits a short action 700 can be used with a Vudoo. Nothing else close to that on the market plus you won't find a company or group of people that will treat you better with no BS.

Edit...listed scope bases and that isn't correct. Sorry. Still nothing American made at least that is even close.

Im just so afraid buying a 1950s or 60s 54 and it needing a barrel or worse.

If the sell im working on goes through ill be able to afford the vudoo but still going to be tight after a trigger and stock.

That one looks really nice what would it be worth? What are the peep sights worth cause i will be scoped and the stock will have to be replaced. What is the chance it will have issues and need barreled ect. I know im a chicken shit. I am still crying once from my savage project. Dont want to cry again. And thank you Mulligan!

I'm certain the vudoo is a great rifle but I'm a lot less certain it's a great choice for f-class

The mag is a downside.

How much would a trigger comparable to the 2-3 OUNCE 54 trigger add?
