Have a sightron siii 8-32 has 79moa of adjustment that I have checked myself. Currently with a 20moa farrel base I have 27.1moa of down adjustment left. My action is obviously not perfect so I'm using up 7.6moa to zero.
This gives me the option to go with a 40 or 45 Moa base, a 40moa base will leave me with 7.1moa down adjustment and a 45 Moa base will leave me with 2.1 Moa down.
I will be shooting to all distances up to 1500m. I'm tempted to go with the 45moa base so I have a huge adjustment up if I need it. I have read it can cause problems to zero so Close to bottom of erector. Does anyone have any personal experience with sightron siii 8-32 do they track well at bottom of elevation?
The mechanically centre would be out around 1000 yards with a 45moa base which would be good. Anyone got any thoughts on this would you go 40 or 45 Moa?
