You have( to keep it simple) two options.
Get ahold of Tony Purdy for his mathematical formulation to get you in the ballpark or search for the “Hopewell Method”.
you might want to also do searches on the care and cleaning of a new BR rifle/barrel/chamber because while you may think yourself experienced there are several ways to screw this up, guaranteeing you spent a lot on a gun that will never reach it’s potential. Early days are important
If he is building the rifle, I believe you should have him tune it too. with all respect, he would know how it should shoot if tuned properly.John Langley is my builder. I will speak with him, but also do as you suggest.
John Langley called. My BR is ready !!!!!!!!! Dang that was quick.
And yes, he already has the tuner near where its gonna need to be, I'll just hafta tune my ammo.
If the idea that the tuner can make most any quality ammo ( Eley / Lapua benchrest grade ammo) shoot well???
Yes you can run most any quality ammo through your rifle and it will shoot well. Problem is "well" is never good enough.
That's why we play this game.... to drive ourselves insane....![]()
It's a shorter trip for some...
Sorry, couldn't resist such a perfect setup
Have a great day![]()
