Good Ignition

Groups will start to open up if all else is tried and tested. If a new to you rifle, then do as "ridgeway" suggests. I do mine once a year, usually before I start the season (spring time). A new spring is inexpensive compared to a day of wasting match grade ammunition.

Pressure problems and primer createring/blown can be associated with weak inconsistent ignition.

I had a problem one year with occasional primer creater. This went on for awhile and it got worse to the point I was blowing primers and had some fall out after firing. Was by no means running hot and it's been a proven powder/primer combo. Through the process of elimination, I put in a new spring. Boom, instant cure. Funny thing was, the gun still shot. That year I won LG group at the Williamsport WO. Several blown primers during record rounds...

After installing a new spring, BAT upgraded their firing pin. I upgraded that year.

So, I replace springs every year. Ignition is a big deal.
