Give me an idea of what a Irish Contract No4 mk2 is worth.

I have a super nice if I remember correctly 1955 Enfield No4 Mk2 thats serial number falls into the range of the ones designated to go to Ireland.
What makes this one kinda unique is not only is the bore prestine the rifle of course is all matching numbers INCLUDING the bayonet and scabbard. From my understanding having the bayonet/scabbard match is a rarity.

So, if I sell it whats it worth?
I see one similair on EBAY asking $975 but, is that realistic?

Btw, I shoot it one time out to 100 yards and it shot very well.

Thanks

Not worth much I'm afraid, so you should probably donate it to me and I"l put it in the gun safe next to my 1898 Krag.:D

Many of these were sold unused and still factory wrapped a few years ago. In perfect condition it would sell down here for 1200-1500NZ$, so $975 about right - for an Enfield collector and I stress, perfect condition.

Having said that - if you want a shooter - try for one of the regulated target rifles from the UK and it may cost more.
