Getting out of the BR world

Laddies & Gentleman-
My elderly father is stepping away from the BR world and he is struggling to find a suitable home for his BR rifle. I was hoping someone on this forum can help me help my father’s 6mm BR find a serious shooter who can appreciate the rifle he had built. We live in GA and have plenty of pictures and info about the rifle. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Sad to hear he is getting out. Wishing him the best. Can you post pictures with the rifle and a piece of paper with your screen name on it placed in the photos?

Hoping he's ok and just tired of the game . Since your new here and selling you're going to be ask to show your a serious seller . The above post would be an example . I'm also interested and would ask a similar question .
Please list the equipment, rifle , stock , barrel , loading tools ( if also for sale )
Failing to do so will not go well in selling

I'm not familiar with benchrest shooting rules but that doesn't look like it was built for anything in particular.

I could be wrong on that but if I'm not, you have to hope to find someone with your father's taste.

Even then, you are selling a used rifle and that is tough.

I'm not sure I would shoot it more but if it had targets with groups it shot, that could be a selling feature.

Good luck.

why dont you keep it and take up the sport. what could be better than shooting with your dads rifle. that rifle would probably not be competitive in competion bench rest- mabie on a local level---- but it would prob be very accurate and you would have a blast with it.

Thank you for the reply. BR shooting is not my discipline. I think my dad only dabbled around with friends shooting. I know not know the different levels of competition rifle platforms nor local and surly have no intention of steering anyone wrong about the rifle and it’s background.Someone mentioned providing some groups of his gun and I believe he has saved many of his targets. I’m really appreciate everyone’s insight and direction on this matter.

Might be helpful to suggest some pricing. Customized rifles aren't worth what a lot of people expect. I'd give dude 600 bucks for it right now but for me it's just a remmy with an aftermarket trigger and a used barrel. To someone else it might be more than that.

Sorry about not getting that into the info. My dad has a firm price of $850.
go to the main level forum list then scroll down to marketplace- there is a section for firearms. by forum rules this is where your dads rifle should be advertised and where buyers will be looking.
