Don’t normally post things, but thought this would be beneficial. I just had my first rifle build done by Zack Donovant of Old Dominion Custom Rifles. It’s a HV 6 BR Benchrest rifle. You hear nightmare stories about gunsmiths taking forever and not communicating, this definitely isn’t the case with Zach. The experience could not have been any better, communication was above and beyond, sent me pictures as he went through the build, called me regularly so I knew what was happening. The quality and fit and finish was 5 stars. The gun is a shooter. If you are thinking of having a gun built, I would highly recommend Zach. You wouldn’t be disappointed.

Thanks for the kind words Paul. I try to treat others the same way I want to be treated.

I’m glad I could work with you this build and produce such a beautiful rifle. Hopefully we can work together on another project soon.

Same, Zack has always done whatever he can to help. Sent my wife’s gun to Zack and the USPS lost it. Long story short. he stayed up all hours of the night to get my wife her rifle before her cow elk hunt. Phenomenal guns, phenomenal guy!

Thanks Kevin. I can’t wait to see pics of your wife’s elk. Please make sure to send pics so we can put them on the website.

I don't know if there is a picture of Paul's rifle but on the Old Dominion website there is a gazillion pictures of rifles Zack has built there.

Haha not quite a gazillion but there’s a few on there. There’s a lot of barreled actions that never make it on there too.

Here’s a couple of pics of Paul’s Rifle
I hate to send a pic of it at the range with Paul and all of the Crimson Tide gear around the rifle.

Just thought I’d throw my 2 cents in I got a look at that rifle first hand and everything about it is slick and smooth as can be. Zach just finished a 6.5 creedmoor for me. It shoots inside of a ants asshole I’m just waiting on opening day.

What a refreshing post. We don't often hear about the positive experiences. Most are when something goes wrong.

    Almost forgot, "ROLL TIDE".

Well, thanks a lot! You let the cat out of the bag! Zac has built my last 2 rifles and I can find nothing wrong with either one. He is a craftsman and won't let anything out of his shop until it's right. Depending on his workload he can get a new rifle out pretty quick and still be precise. Zac, thanks for suggesting Trigger Tech for my last rifle, it is a sweet trigger.

That’s Alex Sitmans (Masterclass Stocks) New Stock. Alex added that extra piece of walnut in the rear to get the LOP to fit Paul since he’s a taller fella. He also cut it with a 3/4” toe.

Here’s a pic of the raw stock with a basic inlet, a proud tang, and before clear coat

It has an MBR type pistol grip, 3” forearm and 3/4” toe. Rides the bags like it’s on a rail
