Can Only Connect to Forum with Cellular?

I can't get the forum on WiFi on any device. I can load all other websites including the main Accurate Shooters website on WiFi, but the forum only comes up when I turn off WiFi.

So what gives?

Working fine for me... suspect your ISP is blocking the site and your cellular provider isn’t... unless they’re the same company!

I've been having that happen all week here in S E N C. sparadically if that's a word. If I try with my phone internet service and my "hot spot" I can get to the forums but not with my Wi-Fi. Then at times it works fine. I reported it to the site but he said nobody else was having any issues. I assumed it was something to do with the internet.

It's intermittent for me as well, though it has become more frequent lately.....

me too, it has actually been kinda bad lately, on my home network, like the last week. if someone knows about a way to reduce this problem, im all ears!!

OK guys, we have seen a few reports of this with Comcast. We can't reproduce issue, and it doesn't appear to be related to our Firewall. Jay says there are not faults reported there.

The exact same server runs the main site as runs the Forum.

We have made NO changes to the software recently. Zip. Nada.

I suggest clearing your cache (really clearing it), and try using a browser other than Chrome.

READ THIS and NOTE TIME!
As an experiment, at 6:10 pm Pacific Time 6.12.2020, I turned off the only third party code we are running on the Forum. This was delivering two advertisement slots.

Let me know if this changes the situation for you folks.

mine is better/faster now:)

It’s been acting weird for me the last few days as well, but I’m on the free WiFi at a KOA right now. I can do most stuff with it, but I have to turn WiFi off completely to get on the AS forums. The main page loads and works fine. I’m on my IPhone with AT&T for service.

Here is one theory. Your WiFi provider is implementing new security measures, possibly blocking the site for content (e.g. McDonald's won't allow access to gun sites).

Also, possibly your WiFi provider is blocking access because this Forum is (not yet) HTTPS.

Please consult with your provider and find out if they are initiating content filters.

I do have three important questions for you guys.

1. Can you access the Daily Bulletin, which is NOT HTTPS at this time?

Here is the link: http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com

2. Are you people who are having problems using an old bookmark, or linking in from our home page?

Please try using this link, and see if you still have the issue:

http://forum.accurateshooter.com/

3. Please check your browser security settings to make sure you are not blocking the site. Chrome, we've learned, does browser updates in the background (without user permission), which alter how security settings are configured.

It's working again for me now on Comcast. I had no issues with the Daily Bulletin. My browsers are Fire Fox and Safari.

I was just reading on the hide where Comcast blocks messages from my range Strategic Edge they may be blocking any kind of gun related sites

Comcast is my ISP and I’m not having any problem accessing either the Forum or Bulletin...
