Berger says minimum 8 twist but that didn't work for me. I shoot them in a 7 twist.

It may not be optimum but they won't keyhole. I shoot the 147 ELDMs out of a 6.5 PRC with a 9 twist. Haven't shot it past 800 yards but shot blue rocks at 800 yards with it in preparation for hunting season and hit 4 out of 5 cold bore shot was an inch above the first blue rock. I stopped after five shots, figured that was good enough. Elevation is 2070 feet, temp. was 28ºF.

No problems with 8 twist barrels and the 156 on two rifles, but I balked on chambering my one extra 8.5 twist barrel for the 156. Just received 3 new Bartlein 7.5 twist 5Rs for down the road, better safe than sorry.
