Some of you might remember the short doc I did for Mike Bryant, called The Precision Riflesmith, and my interest in doing a larger benchrest documentary. I've been working with the folks at NBRSA, IBS, Rick Polluck and Paul McMenamin (the owner of accurateshooter forum), and am finally moving forward with fundraising. The most urgent need is to get funded for Phoenix to cover the nationals, and interview some of the old timers who will be there. Please watch, share and donate if you can.

    Thanks!

I haven't seen the short documentary The Precision Riflesmith. Can you provide a link to it?

Edit: I now see it is in the next thread. I'm going to view it now.

Most of the views for The Precision Riflesmith are on Facebook, but the forum will not let me link to the page. The film has had over 10k views on my facebook page alone, but it's been posted on numerous pages, groups and platforms, and shared almost 1200 times.

I don't know how many total views it's had, but it's a lot. My plan for this longer doc, is to produce a film that will appeal to shooters and non-shooters alike and to distribute it on streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, etc.

Here is The Precision Riflesmith in 4k on youtube.

    Shooters,

We all know BR is perhaps one of the greatest shooting sports, and that everyone thinks they know about it, but few understand the game outside of the current competitors. Sheldon has been active in the shooting sports for years and is also active in the filmaking world. Sheldon wants to get the word out about our game, having recently participated in a few shoots, he sees that there is a great story to be told, but it is not getting out to the world.

He has asked for our support in this project, in whatever amount you can spare to get this project off the ground. Check out the go fund me link:

    https://www.gofundme.com/f/benchrest-documentary

I will be contributing, and I encourage everyone to contribute in a corporate, club or sanctioning body capacity. The future of the sport could use some assistance and this is but one way to get the word out.

    Thanks for considering this.

    Rick

Thanks Rick and all who supported so far.

We just hit $2077 in 48 hours. We need to raise another $2923 by October 1st, in order to make the budget for the Phoenix leg of the project. If any larger donors or corporate sponsors need a tax receipt or to discuss credits/branding, please call me at 310.804.6063 or email me at sheldon@sheldoncharron.com.

Hi guys. Just wanted to update everyone. Funding stalled about 36 hours ago, at about half the budget for Phoenix. I'm going to keep it open until tomorrow evening and if we haven't hit the goal, I'll refund everyone and will come back at this another time. Full details on the fundraising page.

If anyone has any questions or is interested in corporate sponsorship and/or brand integration, contact me directly:
