Benchmark in 20 VT?

Is anyone shooting Benchmark behind 32 grain in their 20VT?
Where would be a good place to start testing loads?
I'm having good luck with H4198, but I have Benchmark in bulk for use in four other calibers.

Benchmark could maybe be a little on the slow side for this application and depending on how far out you're seating your bullets you may run out of room before you reach the velocity of your H4198 load but if you're ok with being down a little on velocity, you should be able to find a load that shoots well using it.

Is your OAL w/32's something like 1.830? If so, you should be able to start at 20.5gr Benchmark. That'll already be a pretty full case so don't be surprised if you run out of room trying to add much more than one more grain of that powder.

To the OP: You may want to try RL-7 and A2200. I use both in my 20VT and 221FB; both give excellent results with 32gr bullets in the VT and 40gr in the 221FB.

I agree that BM will be a mite too slow for use in the FB case.

I'm having amazing results with RL-7 and 32gr BK.

I use CFE Black with 32 gr vmax . start low at 17.5 gr and work up. I am shooting a benchmark barrel at 24 in and getting 3870 fps over my Oehler 35p shooting .2 groups
