Browning could tell you based on the serial number. I have a couple older models around late 80s. They use a different mag than the newer lightweight BARs. Not sure about the dates tho.I need one for a 7 mag. But I don’t know what year my gun was built. I tried looking it up and as close as I can tell it was made in 91
Nearest I can tell the type 1 mags fit models built from 1967-1992. Type 2 are from 1993 to present. Can't say it's 100% accurate but it's just what I remember when I bought additional mags for my guns. They are type 1 mags for mine.Do certain mags work in certain BARS?
