Anyone still shooting RL16 with their Dasher/BRAI/BRX?

I have been busy with long range and my .284 Win, but plan to work more with my Dasher soon.

I had good success with RL16 with my Dasher and I am curious to see whom is still shooting this combination with success. What discipline, how is it working, load with bullet, scores/groups, etc.?

Thanks.

(Plan to shoot my Dasher with 110g JLKs with RL16 for Fclass competitions)

I've been shooting 107SMKs with RL15 in my Dasher for 600 yd F-class, but am in the process of working up loads for 105 Berger Hybrids with RL16. Got a ladder loaded up with RL16 loads from 34.4 to 35.6 gr. Just got to find time to get to the range this week and see where that gets me.

I love it in my Dasher.
Only complaint, I need a 6” drop tube to make it work.
Fairly small issue for sure!
105 Berger VLD’s
205M
33.5, 35.0 (3013 fps) and 36.1 (3080 fps) all shoot good.

How does Re 16 react to temperature shifts this time of year? Is it insensitive to a 20 or 25 degree change?

@tom tested this, maybe he will chime in.
I think @dmoran also tested this, I know his accuracy tests with RL16 were impressive.

In temps I would be shooting in, I have not found it sensitive enough to take me out of the node in my Dasher.

The previous owner of my Dasher shot 17 behind 106 hb with great results. I have tried it and had similar results at 600yds. Is it better than varget, 4895, 203, 8208....I’m not sure but your barrel will tell you what it likes best whether you listen or not is on you...

I've shot RL16 out of my last 2 BRX barrels for F Class. I'm a mid range HM. I was 3rd at our state mid range championships with it this year. 107SMK's in the last barrel and 110SMK's in the current barrel. It's my go to powder for the BRX and I have no plans to change. I shoot temps in the low 20's to 105+ and it's not temp sensitive at all. Like Mulligan I also use a 6" drop tube.

I have used RL 16 in my Dashers with 105’s (Hybrids)& 110 SMK. I love RL16 in the 6-6.5 MM

I shoot 33.9 to 34.0 grains of Reloader 16 behind a 105 gr hybrid in a 28” barrel at 2940fps. The temps have been in the low 60s to high 90s this season. The load performed real good. All first place wins and two State Championships with that load in Mid-Range F-Class.
