Another 6BR Convert

So. I got my college weight-lifting buddy into reloading for his rifles. From there, I got him into shooting paper. He's gradually getting the whole precision rifle thing.

So, he came to visit and I have long-term loaned him a Savage that I had with a custom 6BR barrel. Nothing special. Pillar bedded and the barrel. That's it.

I kept telling him that the 6BR was stupid easy. He was doubtful.

Here is his very first attempt. 200 yards. He's ecstatic.

It is so gratifying to help people get into our sport...

Good on ya' GSPV, I've helped a couple of shooters tighten up there targets over the years..and it feels good on both ends.

And this will make my life easier because he isn’t asking me how to get his BLR in 308 shooting 125 TNTs to shoot like my rifles...

BTW, he called back last night and reported really good results at 300 yards with shells that he loaded himself. He was stoked!

Yeah, gotta love the 6BR. I jumped on the bandwagon because of the great articles on this site, and it is now my favorite long range pdog cartridge. Easy to load, tune, and shoot. What else can you ask for.
