Has anyone received their barrels they ordered from Anthony at ABC barrels recently ?
I ordered a barrel back in March and he quoted 3 week delivery, then after 6 weeks he contacted me and said he had a part break on one of his machines and it would be another couple weeks.
Still no barrel and it seems that everyone I have spoke to that ordered from him really praises his barrels but you can expect it to be delivered 6 months later than promised.

I to had ordered 2 blanks maybe in February. He said give him 2 months. He called me on August 8th and apologized for taking so long. I thought he told me he was having trouble with the 30 cal button and he was trying to find someone to replace it, something like that. I told him it's no big deal. The season is almost over and I have a dozen other blanks in my possession. He laughed when he told me that when he first started making them, he couldn't give them away, but then some shooters starting winning matches and setting records and now he said that he can't keep up. Typical.

I have the deepest respect for anyone with the audacity to enter a low margin, highly competitive market with the single-minded purpose of producing a one-off artisan level product.
He's a one-man operation putting out very straight barrels.
In what has become a cost-no-object pursuit of extreme accuracy, I would rather see timelines slide than see quality sacrificed in any way.

I say keep up the good work and thanks for what you do.

I've received two barrels from Anthony Kiefer. The first was a 17.5 twist 30 caliber barrel that took approximately 3 months to arrive and the second, that he said he had in stock, was a 8 twist 243 barrel that came in about a week of ordering it and him receiving the funds. He is very conscientious concerning his barrel making and easy to talk to.

I received two 30cal blanks a month or two ago. Ordered in the spring, I think they came in July or early August.

I wonder how many ABC barrels will be on rifles at the UBR Nationals this year???
    Anthony makes a great product!

UBR is growing, and his barrels are used alot. It's worth the wait, and a great guy to boot!

I don't know about UBR, but there has been one on my F-TR rifle since 2015, and with two more blanks in the stable that's not changing anytime soon.

The geometry in an ABC barrel is different than any button I have ever worked with. Had I not known, I would have been sure it was cut rifled. Theres certainly a little more time into them. Waiting sucks, but its usually worth it.

A few years back I won a door prize at the UBR Nationals that happened to be held at Buck Creek that year. The prize turned out to be an ABC barrel, my choice of caliber. I talked to Anthony about it and asked if I could get a .224, 1-14" twist. He said, of course, but since he didn't have the tooling yet, it would be a while. My reply was, no problem, I don't need a barrel right now anyway. That was in September. We spoke in February or March of the next year and the tooling still had not arrived, again, no problem. Then in August Anthony called and told me my barrel was ready and he would bring it to that year's Nationals. Rather than the one I had been promised, he handed me two .224, 1-14" ABC barrels and insisted that I accept both since it had taken so long. The first barrel has turned out to be the most accurate barrel I've owned in nearly twenty years of competition. I just had it cut off and rechambered recently and it looks to be just as accurate as the first chamber. The 2nd barrel is still on my shelf. I am sorry for your wait, but I believe you will find it to be worth the wait. Anthony is dedicated to perfection and does all the work himself. Sometimes this causes unforeseen delays. As long as he is in business, his barrels will be the only ones I use.

Anthony and I had a long conversation this morning and got everything taken care of.
He was very apologetic in the fact it unfortunately slipped through the cracks.
The manner in which he has taken care of this proves how much he cares about his product and his reputation for customer service.
He went so far as to contact a customer who was to receive a barrel this week and ask if he minded moving his order back a couple weeks allowing him to ship me the barrel today.
He didn't mention who it was but if they read this a big thanks to him.
Unfortunately I am OCD when it comes to communication especially when it comes to spending money on a product or having work done.
He's got some great things in the works which will put him way out front in the barrel making business.
I'm sure I'll be very happy with the barrel and I'm so sure I ordered 2 more today.
    Thanks again Anthony ! @oliver88

I'm very pleased that this situation is working out for you. But I am not at all surprised that Anthony has handled it the way he did. He is a class act all the way.
