6mm-06 and RL26

Just found out my 6mm-06 is headed out from the gunsmith and was wondering if anyone had tried RL26 in this cartridge? I plan on shooting the 101gr Hammer Hunters or 95gr LRX since I’m stuck in CA and have to use a non lead bullet. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Curious, what velocity with 100 gr bullet and how many rounds before throat is gone.Shot against a guy with a 6.5 06 Improved at 500 yd match, it was very accurate.

We’ll see about the velocity. In my experience I haven’t been able to get the copper bullets to the same speeds as lead but hopefully it’s close.

Hammers typically run around 50 FPS faster than a same weight cup and core bullet. I’ll be interested in your results. I’d like to try the 101HH in my 6 Dasher hunting gun. The 124 HH out of my 6.5x47 were awesome this year on game. Load development took 8 shots.

If you gonna shoot inside 300 yards, the 80 ttsx will do a better job than the 95 lrx.

the 6-06 should spit out the 80 ttsx at 3,600 fps form a 24" bbl.

Like a laser you can have a +3" / -3" trajectory out to 350 yards.

I was shooting 105gr Hornady Match slightly over 3,000fps out of wifes 243 with a 24" barrel.
Accurate out to 500 yards.
I think with the extra volume, you'll really be zinging them out there!
We alas have traded it in on a Savage 110FP in 223.
