6.5x47L high pressure at minimum load

I just got my 6.5 lapua back and cases want to stick with a minimum load. Im shooting 130bergers and 32.5gr rl-15..... berger said this was the minimum load??? The reamer was from ptg and has a no- turn neck throated for the 130's??? Any ideas??

Did you full length size to begin with. How are you measuring your powder charge? How much neck tension do you have. What kind of gun and barrel do you have?

Check Bore and Groove size also. I had a customer last Mo. that chambered two rifle's with the same 6.5X47 .295 neck and .167 free bore and had hi pressure in one rifle and not any measurable pressure in the other. After he checked every thing he found one rifle had .257 bore .264 groove. It had no pressure . The other that had the pressure had a.254 bore and .2638 groove. Dan moved the throat forward .060 and the pressure problem went away. I would check free bore length and bore and groove size. Thanks Dave

Are you seeing signs of rings imprinted in the brass going around the circumference of the case body after firing? Have you shot this action before installing the present BBL? What type of action? Any resistance when chambering rounds? Have you chkd the dia. of bullets being used? Are you seeing any unusual scrapes or scuffs on the case neck? If you chamber a loaded round is there any indication that the very end of the case mouth is making contact w/ the chamber? You can smoke the mouth of an unloaded/sized case w/ a little candle soot to chk for case mouth-to-chamber interference. Listen to Dave's advise. He's bailed me out of a few hair pullers and I ain't even a goonsmiff :)
