Guys, i have been wanting to do a 6 -284 as a hunting rifle/ carry gun. Had intentions to use this as a 500yd coyote/ hog rifle that i could shoot offhand if needed. Planning on a REM long action an 8 tw barrel. I am wondering on proper reamer size and what size neck. Also a usable contour and length opinion. I want fast, flat, minimal drift and be able to shoot this gun accurately offhand thus limiting the total weight with scope to a max of 8.5 lbs.. OR a 240 weatherby vanguard and be done with it, and crossed fingers. Lastly, a good smith that has experience with the 6-284 near northeast ohio would be helpfull! I am not looking for problems..

Give Mike Hartman (Winfield Iowa). He just built one on short action remington. Very accurate. Can build anything you desire with rapid turn-around. Phone is 319 750 2907 (Cell) He is home this week and can answer any questions you may have about cartridge as well as loading info. Scott
