    Howdy Folks,

I have a load worked up for 230 hybrids using H4895. Upon the recommendation of some people on this forum I am working up a varget load. I will conduct a 600 yard ladder for charge weight but was wondering if anyone has used varget with 225 ELDs or 230 hybrids and could share their data? I have a 9 twist with a bunch of freebore, I have other barrels for lighter projectiles.

    Thanks!

I am using the 225 Eldm in my .308.
I ended up with 43.5 Grains of varget. Rifle is a Pierce action, Bartlein 1-9 twist heavy palma, 30 inches long.
Velocity is 2530 Fps with this load.

That must be a very warm load. Are you using palma brass?

Regular large rifle Lapua brass. I had gone higher with no pressure signs.
Backed it off at 43.5. Have 6-7 reloads on the brass. Close to a couple thousand rounds down the pipe with this combination.
Have shot form 4C to plus 44 C temp variation
