Actually a hydrostatic test (brass unsupported), 2 or 3(?) firings as fired vs annealed.

Upper part of balloon is indicative of hardness, lower part shows bulge due to wall thickness.

Rocket, what does your test tell us? I’m thinkin about where cases typically fail.

No, the failure (body split) wouldn't happen in a chamber.
It's the balloon SHAPE that shows the even stress distribution with a soft/annealed case.
Uneven stress might cause a failure at the annular line you see below the neck.

Have done some more testing. Ran into some dismal accuracy results with the 88s that I need to ask y'all about.

Also have been testing the AR-15. No accuracy tests with it, just function testing with heavies. Confirming gas port size.

No, haven't blown anything yet. Just been very busy.

Possibly. From my understanding that some of these powders are the same just offered and labels for different companies. ??

No worries, I'm restricted to 2.260 COL.

DAYUM! Lol yep imagine that would be a difficult reamer to make a chamber.

I've just been real busy. Work, trying to kill pigs before vegetation and ticks get too thick, and a little time with the misses has left no time to check this thread, sorry. Do have a question maybe y'all can help with, when I can get a few mins I will try and ask.

And extremely subjective to testing environments too. My thought is it's a relative burn rate chart; so doubtful the reburn all the powders again at chart update.
    Good for ballpark checks.

I'd go up and down on the chart near the burn rate area you're checking and select a few to try. Some are cut differently and may allow a Volume fill change. (Ball vs. stick vs. varget vs. cordite...)

I'm hoping the 222 Low Drag release is right around the corner. Any updates?
