I've got little respect for someone who throws out allegations without any concrete evidence to substantiate what they are saying; claiming a company is making 50-60% profit of off every scope they sell is but another example of this. You've got absolutely no Idea what Vortexes fixed costs are and no idea what their profit margins are. Pathetic baseless accusations.
Until now, I didn't know CNN had an account at accurateshooter.com.

My first F-class scope was an old 6-24 Tasco. Used it on my Silhouette rifle for a long time. It's older than I am.
Japanese made.
It's amazing how it it clicks up and down. Tracks as good as anything I own now.
Too bad the new ones aren't as good.
The Communist News Network or CNN is not a purveyor of fake news. It is purveyor of leftist liberal propaganda!! News with only one side is propaganda.CNN. Purveyors of fake news.... We have similar in Australia.
One thing is for sure. If you go to your local Cabelas you'll see the shelves of the Bargain Cave lined with Vortex's. Returns from customers are the reason. What a reputation to live on!
Vortex actually does have very high margin on their products, higher than most in the optics world.
Any scope can "fail".
Most scope "failures" I see working in the industry are operators of the optics not knowing how to use said optic.
I've had people return and want to send in optics from all brands I sell. With only few exceptions, it was operator error or operator stupidity or operator ignorance on the product that caused the perceived problems.
There are also a number of optics companies that have the same type of warranty that Vortex does, they just don't use it as a sales technique.
Lots of good optics right now. And I seriously doubt multiple Golden Eagles "failed" at one match.

Vortex has the best warranty that I've heard of, no questions ask fix or replace. Price and warranty is what made Vortex. I've never heard of a scope Vortex did not warranty.
They put pressure on other scope companies.
Why wouldn't a company use their warranty to sell scope ? It's what they are in business for, to sell scopes.
What other optic company has as good of warranty ?
