Zero stop and locking turrets

Hi all,
Got a question about the push/pull style locking turrets( Athlon Helos BTR or similar style) and their capabilities to match up with the DIY zero stop shim trick. I completely understand the concept of zero stop and how the shims work, im asking because i dont quite know how the push/pull style turrets work as i have never owned a scope with this same style of locking turrets. Is it possible? If so any difference in performing the modification? Thanks for all helpful information.

zero stop and locking turrets have different functions, even though they can be combined into one turret. Zero stop you get, just a fast way to get back to your closest zero. Locking turrets are just there to keep you from mistakenly putting windage or elevation onto your scope without knowing.

Yes it's possible.
At least it is on my Bushnell 3.5-21 DMR/hdmr using o-rings under the turret.

But I have no idea about the Athlon. Sorry.
