Zeiss warrany- how "limited" and transerable?

Have read a number of conflicting reports regarding the warranty on Zeiss scopes, particularly the Conquest.

The reason I ask is that I'm considering buying a Conquest 2nd hand. The glass is fantastic- better than the comparable Leupold but if the warranty on the Zeiss is only good for 5 years, or only transferable to one or two owners I'm more likely to with Leupold because of their unlimited lifetime warranty.

Thanks for any input, Matt.

Zeiss currently offers a limited LIFETIME transferrable warranty on optics.

The Carl Zeiss Limited Lifetime Transferable Warranty
(“Limited Warranty”)
Subject to limitations on electronic components, camera electronics and accessories described below, your Carl Zeiss sports optics product (“Product”) is warranted against defects in workmanship or materials for the life of the Product. If a defect that is covered by this Warranty is found, Carl Zeiss will, at its option and without charge, either repair your Product or replace it with a Carl Zeiss product of comparable specifications and value. This Warranty is transferable.

Victory PRF Products are not covered under a limited lifetime warranty, but are warranted against defects in workmanship or materials for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

Zeiss recently announced a new expanded warranty policy for duralyt series scopes and binos:

Carl Zeiss Sports Optics has introduced a “No-Fault Policy” to supplement its current limited lifetime transferrable warranty. This “No-Fault Policy” is being initially offered to customers who purchase new Conquest HD Binoculars or Conquest Duralyt Riflescopes from Zeiss dealers in the USA or Canada. Under this new No-Fault Policy, Zeiss will repair or replace any of these new models for free for the first five years of ownership if they are damaged during normal and intended use. NOTE: The new policy is for original owners only and is not transferrable.

That's about what I had found as well, thanks.

Looks like a used Conquest wouldn't have Leupold level of coverage, pity.
