A few weeks ago I purchased a sunshade for my Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x50.
But it wouldn't screw into the scope. So I called Zeiss customer service, admiting I couldn't figure this one out.
She said the front ring must first be unscrewed, and then the sunshade will screw on.
Sure enough, after a closer look, there is a ring on the front of the scope. Once that is turned off, the sunshade screws into the threads that hold that ring on.
The customer service rep said they get quite a few calls asking how to install the sunshade. I recommended they add instalation instructions to the packaging since there are currently none.
So if anyone else wants a sunshade for their Conquest, now you know how to install it without calling customer service.
