Anybody here use a conquest on their hunting rigs. How is the tracking and are they holding up to recoil. Just put a 6.5-20 on a smokeless muzzleloader with brake but still has considerable recoil and concussion.

You won't have any problems. They only issue I have is that their U/R directions are CW and all my other optics are CCW. ???

No problems on a .338 Win. and .458 Lott. They will stand recoil. Very clear and bright optics.

My neighbor has gotten a few bad ones here lately and has me paranoid. My drops didn't match the other day at the range like they should have. I started thinking I might have also gotten a dud. Thinking back on it, I made a 4 click adjustment after my last 2 shots then zeoro'd the turrets out. Since the turrets are backwards and it was getting late it is very possible that I rotated them down instead of up before zeroing them out which caused my drops to be off. I can see that being a problem in the heat of the moment while hunting.

I've got two of the 3.5-10x50 conquests, one mounted on a 375 H&H. Great glass and no problems maintaining zero. All in all a quality piece of glass.

I have a Conquest HD5 5-25x50mm with the target turret and Z plex reticle. Love the glass and 18 MOA per revolution on the turret. Total elevation adjustment is 65 MOA which is amazing for a 1" tube scope. Lightweight, crisp clear glass, and plenty of elevation adjustment for long range shooting. They are great scopes.

Actually on my way right now to go get my second HD5 5-25x50mm scope for another hunting rifle. This one will have the Rapid Z Varmint reticle though.
