+1 on the McMillan A5 or A5-7 (the no butt hook version), especially with the adjustable cheek piece and LOP. It is fairly heavy, but the grip and forearm are perfection for a heavy hunting/tactical type rifle.

That was for a Stiller Predator in 6.5 x 47. I made a new stock out of teak for that and bedded the Remington actioned WSM in it.

The design is but I try to make them better. A little beefier, a little longer, etc.

I prefer wood and I do like the Richards dual grip style for a pattern, I have a duplicator. The dual grip reduces felt recoil by 30-25%.
