Your Basic Redneck Ladder Stand

This is your basic redneck ladder stand. Talk about easy setup. Probably a bitch to carry through the deer woods.:). I do have several uses for it. I'm testing out a new treestand. Get the bugs out before I head back home to Wisconsin for archery and gun seasons. Makes for excellent practice. I plan on sitting in it enough to get the twitchy shit settled down before I head east. With any luck my target blacktail doe (Barbie) shows up and I can check the "shoot a deer on my property" item off the bucket list. The stand I'm testing is a Hawk Helium Pro. Doesn't weigh the advertised 12#. Might weigh that w/o the seat and footrest. Weighs 17# Good enough. My old hang-on stands weigh more like 35#. I have to use a davit to pull them up for installation. This puppy you can just throw it over your shoulder and climb up with it. The platform is roomy and can be adjusted for level. My butt will be testing out the memory foam seat. Hopefully comfortable for all day sits. I'll update when testing is complete and hopefully I'm munching on some tenderloins. How about a refrigerator with the doors removed and a seat inside.
I sat in it for like a minute it was cozy, then thought what if some ass decides
to take a shot at it so in the rain I went.

Deer are curious.
Get your chainsaw tuned up. Set it on a stump when it's idling, back off a respectable distance. Take your choice.
Caution!! This may be classified as baiting in some areas.
