You'd better be good, or have disposable income - $25,000 Match Entry Fee.

This isnt a PRS it's a Rifles Only Match nothing remotely PRS about it. Its being put on by Jacob. And on top of that there will be alot more than shooting. Think legacy skills.

Wanted to add more info.

So this is a riflemans skill set match, you will land nav to different points, play KIMs games, target detection and ranging. On top of all the they will be putting on clinics for these skills prior for training. The match director will be from Australia to ensure fairness for all. And NO one will have home field advantage since these evolutions will be in different places.

Don't have a dog in this fight , either way . But I can not think of anyone even remotely considering setting up some sort of con on any group of people who take precision L/R shooting seriously . And many are former Military Spec Ops . Hard to spend all that cash from a body bag .:eek::eek: :D:D:D

For those with no worries of income and could blow it in Vegas on high stakes poker, it is not about the buy in money, it is all about the challenge even if they don't win.

"If you can't run with the big dogs, stay off the porch and stop your barking". I would just like to watch a high stakes shooting event.

With $1,125,000 of entry fee's (besides the inner competition fee's) going to be a huge MONEY MAKER for some, at the expense of 44 of the 45 entries. But at least 1 of the 45 (the winner only) will get 44% of the take in, leaving 56% ($625,000) for host expenses and profits.
What if only ten shooters pay up? Seems like some gambling all around to me. Entrants put up big fees to play for big reward. Organizers betting on having a full house. In this type game all the RO's will be vetted for knowledge and honesty. They will also likely be paid well for their time. I've done a little RO'ing for some PRS matches. I made no profit for sure but was compensated for my expenses for the most part.
This whole thing smacks of gigantic planning and execution on the part of the organizers as well as the RO teams. I've been a part of matches of many ilks over my years on the range and can tell you if this is done up to expectations it will be money hard earned for those involved in planning and execution.

I believe 25 shooters have already committed its going to sell out for sure.

I can totally agree, and have experience in holding matches as well. With that said, and even if there is one RO per shooter, and say there to be paid $10,000 each, that would still leave $200,000 for other expenses and/or profits (and in part, likely why there is no refunds). I also would not be surprised if there is sponsorship incomes that will be had, besides the $1,125,000 in entrant fee's.
All I will say is if you think it's easy money then do one yourself. I don't think I would put up with all that ego and testosterone even if I got ALL that Million +! :D

Its a winner all event, no prize table. The winner takes $500,000 home minus taxes. Its spread out thru 7 different enviorments so no home field advantage. And this event will not be all about shooting. I dont think the person who shoots the best will win, honeslty.

Cash is paying for 7 diffrent ranges to rent, ROs/safety, medical staff, match director from over seas so no one knows him. Steel and other stuff.

Do not place false narratives on me.
Were did I say it would be easy or even begin to suggest that?
The only thing I am suggesting is it looks to me, that there may be a vast amount of money taken in from the shooters that will not be paid back. Where all that money will go with out expense plans listed, is beyond me, and your guess is just as good as anyone else's.
Not placing anything on you. SOCIAL DISTANCING!
I think you placed your own narrative on you by boiling the vision of many who live in a vastly different world than ours down to for all intents a money making scam.
You used simple math to infer someone is going to get rich off this match. I'm not the only one who see that in your comments.
I do not know the guys that are putting this one and have no dog in the fight. Honestly, if the best of the best IBS/GBA shooters had to travel to seven destinations and shoot seven groups, with no practice days, for a big payout the demands on those shooters would be beyond overwhelming. How many would even care to try? How many would be left in the battle by the last target? I see those same possibilities for the match in question.
I am visualizing "Naked and Afraid", "Survivor" and "Mountain Men" all rolled into one.

Who cares? As with any other good or service bought and paid for.. Where does that money go? Why does it matter? The match isn't advertised as being non-profit or 100% payback, and the organizers don't owe a projected income statement to anyone. Pay to play, or don't, seem to be the options here.

I can tell you men this if you’ve ever shot with Jacob he will have scenarios that will make you say..cmon man you can’t even dream this stuff up..anyone that enters this match will indeed be tested to their limits..I would love to shoot in something like this but I wouldn’t make a pimple on some of these men’s azz that will be competing in it.

I like the idea, but cant afford to gamble 25,000. I would be ok with a 1,000 pot for up to 100 or more shooters. That would bring in more income. Maybe host it over a 4 day weekend. Have it in an a series of events, with combined shooting types.
Stage 1 - FTR rules but with a few more caliber options
Stage 2 - moving targets
Stage 3 - unknown distance shooting
Stage 4 - target sprint ( think bithalon)

Things like that.

I'm not involved in PRS at all, but I came across this match taking place in 2021.

$25,000 buy in, winner takes home $500,000.

I know there are some amazingly talented folks on here, and some guys with the financial means.

Anyone of yall taking part?

This competition will last 23 days and be conducted over a broad section of the United States.

This competition will start at Rifles Only in Texas on September 1st, 2021. Once the tasks are completed at this location, the next location will be given to the competitor in written form. This format will continue until the entire competition is completed.

The competitor will be responsible for all costs associated with travel, meals and any other associated costs.

At this time, there are 7 locations in the Western U.S. that will be utilized. You will see New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, and Oklahoma.

Once deposits are received, you will be given addresses to pre-position ammunition and other associated gear. 3 months prior to competition start date you’ll receive an email with further instruction on dates and locations to make your travel arrangements.

There will be competitions inside this competition. You will be responsible for those entry fees.

The entry fee for this competition will be $25,000. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. A cash payback will award the winner $500,000. This is a winner take all event. Only 45 people will participate. The half million-dollar award certainly makes this worth it."
