Evidently,there are a few people that want to start a panic buying response from fellow shooters. These people should be banned by every site as our response to gougers that unscroupulosly take advantage of people that love the shooting sports. I know that it is a free enterprise system,but there are unwritten rules that most honest folks adhere to.THIS VERY SPECIAL PERSON SOLD THE 8# VARGET JUG FOR 680.00 PLUS HAZMAT AND SHIPPING BRINIG IT TO THE PRICE OF 715.00. I hate this kind of behavior,my local wholesaler Beikirch ammunition said they have not been shorted by any company that sells gunpowder or primers or bullets. So what gives. Stupidity.This was on auction arms I believe.

There's been
"Oh My God", better stock up now, and "beware there may be a shortage" notices from suppliers and threads on just about every forum out there,,

Don't know where it's all comming from beyond gullable panic,,

Every shelf, in every shop within 80-100 miles of here are stocked full of primers, powder and bullets, don't know about ones further as I have no need to travel that far.

That is so sad. i cant believe that there are actually selling that overprice THAT MUCH! its overly taking advantage of the situation or the person who actually bought it was just super rich enough to buy something like that with that amount knowing that he is probably not at all that naive in the right price of the product!

Deny what the retailers are saying at your own peril.

Since alot of my buddies didn't stock up on some rimfire ammo last time when the retailers were warning about price increases it doubled in price and they are not able to buy it any more.

Sure glad I bought 2oK rounds and saved about $2000. when the fine folks at Champion's Choice were giving me a heads up about the probable price increases. Plus ammo seems to go fast my 20K rounds is almost gone.... wish I bought more when it was so cheap.

The smart ones saw the irrational buying in 2008 and figure it's in their interests to replicate it.

I haven't heard anything about this! I saw an 8# jug of Varget the other day for $140-150 and I've never seen it over $170, I stocked way up on primers and powder before the last run on components. Frankly I'm more upset about the price of brass these days.

Eric,you are probably correct. But I say ban them both. I am a man of principles and when I see crap like this,it just hurts to see americans acting like jerks. It is morrally wrong to rip someone off even if they arent the sharpest pencil in the cup. Its like stealing from a blind man.He knows you are there,but he cant stop you. It is deplorable and against all that is good in america.

Hi fellow shooters , I stocked up on primers after the scare of '94. I was not married w/ children so had discretionary funds, so to speak. Now married w/ 4 yes 4 very energetic kids under 10 I am very thankful I was slightly paranoid and squirreled away a few. Though now I scrape deep for #8's of powder,usually #1's. So I pray for cooler heads so some of us less prosper can still keep shooting. Of course if I gave up this wonderfully sinful pleasure of global communicae for a couple of months the #8's wouldn't hurt as much.
