Sometimes you just get plain lucky. I went to the range at Logan Montana to shoot a few rounds at some long range steel. Its wasn't a very good day and was snowing and blowing a gale. The club is open to the public on Sundays for trap and skeet. I went into the club building to warn up by the wood stove and started a conversation with the fellow who runs the trap range. There happened to be an Alliant powder catalog laying on the table between us and I pointed to the image of the RL 26 and said "I could use some of that." He says "I have some." Thinking he was referring to powder he owned and I asked if he would sell some. It took a second or two to realize that he was talking about the gun club having the powder. The club has shot, wads and powder for the shotgun guys mostly but of occasion they have other powder. So........
$228 dollars later I have myself a 8 pounder of RL26.
