Got set up in this 75 acre bean field with heavy brush and mulberry trees on its border.
Groundhogs were wary, saw about 10 dropped four and missed one at 200 yards, bi-pod was wobbly in the tall grass, my guess.
My classic shots are between the chest. Two gh's were right at their dens entrance, both never made it in, one dove in shown here on pure adrenaline, and one just leaned over on the roots when hit. all were shot with the 17 hornet using the tiny 15.5 Hornady NTX, @ 3870 fps,all gh's DRT.
