Yeah Baby !! 204 DRT time

The PP2000MR at 33 Gr held a consistent 3650 to 3667 fps with no signs of pressure
groups are excellent as I'd come to expect

Well my phone rang this morning and it was Don Unmussig calling me,,
To confirm what I wanted and to tell me that he had not sent out the once that I requested before Christmas he wanted to wait till after the holidays.

Either way it sounds like a bunch of the guys on this forum jumped on and sent in some orders for him as well so he does appreciate that

I asked him to make me 1000 63 grain
500 60 gr
and he is sending me 300 50 gr that he has on hand .

Then I told him I want him to make me 4 barrels
Let's just say I was beyond intrigued with my conversation with him about his rifling process and I definitely want to check out his low pressure low friction rifling.

Ill get a couple 22 and 20 cal in 8 twist .
The only thing he cannot do is contour them so they are going to be straight 1 1/4 blanks

I love this forum there's so many great guys on it and I had one member contact me and he is going to make me a control bridge for Solus chassis for the fastback..

its 3d printed ...Ill put a pic rail on it and maybe get motivated to make one out of a block of aluminum
in the future

fast enough that I worry about the Berger 55's remaining intact
3800 fps its the 7 twist that concerns me
You push them much harder and there coming apart. The 40 gr Vmax samething. If you were shooting them in a 13 or 14 or even a 15 twist you would get more speed and the bullets will hold together with no pressure or problems. I pushed 40 gr Vmax thru a 220 Swift at 4235fps and no sign of pressure and grouped really good

I wonder why 7 twist too? Surely at these velocities an 8 twist would be more than sufficient?
I have run the heavy 20cal Berger’s at 3300 in standard 204 Ruger with 8 twist fine?
