I 've notice you have several XP's with straight bolt handles.Where can I find this bolt handle ? I want to replace mine with something that my old fingers can get a hold of better.

Those are either a clone XP-100 action (Borden Alpine) or it may have been a HSP, which was the clone like XP-100 made by H-S Precision.
There are also companies who make bolt handles, that a gunsmith can put on the XP-100 bolts as well.

A blast from the past, my old 28 Nosler closest, Adam's old 7-300 Win Mag. in the back, We was stretching things out at WY-SHOT one year

I hope Glenn won't mind if I run with his post. After seeing the two empty tables I just had to post a pic of Adam seated at the gray one which is my wife's. It's really hard to tell but we were actually on top of a big hill and all the gear was packed up by hand which took several trips. We shot hill to hill. There is a road running between the hills with power lines along the road. 1000-1100 was just over the top of the lines. Less than about 950 and you were into the lines. Less than that you were under the lines but just over the top of the traffic on the road. It was some really fun shooting. RIP old Buddy.

Marc decided to hike up and join the fun. Can you blame him. My memory is pretty poor but I think his XP might have been chambered in 6.5-284. It didn't take long and the infamous sscoyote made the climb to join us. My wife' s bench watched a lot of good shooting that day.

we had a fun day!! Lots of good memories with both of ya'll

One day we were at the MOA shooting the breeze between relays. Dan M mentioned that he had a XP that he was thinking about selling. A couple guys asked if they could see it so he disappeared to dig it out. He reappeared with the XP so everyone was looking it over and Matt asked if he could take a couple shots with it. Dan replied sure no problem. This is a picture of Matt's 3 shot group at 1000.

My most recent project. Started with this:
IMG_5561.JPEG

Removed the cobbled magazine, machined up a single shot plug for the action, Machined off the bloop tube, turned the threads off, polished and blued, made a new bolt stop and then on to the stock:
Had this one on the shelf, rough as any I have ever seen, but with possibilities.

And the result after lots of sanding and painting and sanding runs off and painting again...

Dan sure had that ammo loading thing dialed in! Not to mention being one of the best humans around.
Sure do miss him, I hope Adam,Mark, and Dan are having a little match up in heaven.
I have to ask, is this the Dan M you guys are referring to? I have known This Dan for over 20 Years and we sure do miss him!
