New about 1980. Originally chambered in 7mm BR, factory (custom shop) re-chambered in 7mm-08. Used in IHMSA competition.

Neil Waltz made the scope mount and built the XP. The stock was made by Hammer47 that use to be on this site. Sadly he passed away maybe 8 years ago

I forgot to mention in the previous kudu post that stock and this one on my .325 WSM (180 gr. TSX, 65 yds., behind the "smile"-DRT. See the blood in the pic) are the only 2 stocks ever made by Brown Precision. JD had them to make a bunch for him and SSK. The mold broke after the 2nd one (this one) was made. They weren't interested in investing in another mold. JD, being the good friend he's always been let me have both. As well as the croc, it's taken several hundred deer.

243 win. Weighs a ton. But it’s not for packing to hunt. I much prefer a TC contender for that. Although I do have factory stocked 35rem and .223 that might work if I tried them.

Hard chromed action, Fajan laminated stock, chambered in 6 BR, Leupold 8.5-25x50 on top.

I had a 2nd barrel done up in 6.5-284 to shoot the short lived 1000 yard Benchrest pistol class at Pella Iowa.
