xp 100 stock?

I am building A 6BR using a xp100 action. I want to pillar bed it in a McMillian hunter class stock. My question is the rear action screw goes down through the action and screws into a nut implanted in the stock,, on a factory xp100). Does the McMillun stock come with a similar setup? How do i pillar bed it?

I have a friend building an xp, he drilled and tapped the hole and then pillar bedded the action to the stock. Hope this helps. DB

I used an XP 100 action for my 223 AI custom rifle. My gunsmith tapped the rear hole and bedded the rifle conventionally. Rear screw comes up from the bottom.

Tommy,
When we inlet rifle stocks for the xp-100 action we cut a 1/2" diameter hole about 5/8" deep where the rear guard screw comes down thru the action. When you bed the action, just cut a length of 1/2" alum round bar about 1/2" long and turn some glue groves in it. Drill and tap for the rear guard screw and bolt it onto the bottom of the action with the screw. Then bed this post into the stock as you bed the action. After the bedding cures, remove the guard screws, lift the action out, and this threaded piller is bedded into the stock at exactly the right place and depth. Dick D., McMillan Stocks
