XBR 8208 155.5 fulbore

Just wondering what max charge was for anyone running 155.5 over 8208. I have tested 43-44.3, accuracy was outstanding @ 600 yards from 43.5-44.3. I have not chronoed the load however 44grs is dead on with my 46.5 Varget zero @ 600. Primers are little on the flat side with all charges tested but no other signs of pressure. ( I am using Tula standard large rifle). I checked Hogdon load data and they show max charge for the 155 SMK @ 47grs so its got me wondering if there is more velocity available from this powder.

I topped slightly higher but I think you are in the ballpark. I would increment by .1 grain, watching carefully for pressure. If you have a blade micrometer, measure expansion just forward of the extractor groove where the case does not normally expand. If you see any measurable movement after one firing, even .0001", back off a little. This has been an excellent combination for me from a 26" barrel .308. But, I am pretty sure my barrel would not go to 47 grains without problems.
