What have your experiences been regarding this trigger affecting your bolt lift?

Ive had one for a few years in a Rem 700 action and it's always had a hard cock on close when the bolt is in the upmost position before swinging down. Have your experiences been the same?

I recently got a BAT TR action and the Xtreme trigger wouldn't work at all, regardless of sear adjustment. The firing pin would always be released when I closed the bolt.

I'm also wondering if the wear on the top sear is normal. This Remington 700 action does have a PTG bolt.

I had the same issue with a custom action and this trigger specifically. I called them, they modified the cocking piece at no charge and sent it back, no issue at all now.

I have tried to get ahold of Tom, but he hasn't answers email or phone calls yet.

Was you're cocking piece too high or low? What does the bolt throw feel like?

It felt very stiff to close if I recall correctly, but would not allow the firing pin to fall at all. Tom has excellent customer service and will take care of you. In the case of my rifle, I believe the action maker ground the cocking piece down. If I can find a picture of the bolt I will add a picture.

I wonder what makes the bolt stiff to close? Is it because there are two sears?

I saw on his website that he is coming out with a single stage version of the Mod 22. I also read an article dated 2015 about the trigger coming out.

Does anyone know anything about the Mod 22 Super Single stage trigger?
