Wyatt's BR Mag Box for Rem 700??

Has anyone tried the Wyatt's BR magazine box for the Rem 700 to get the BR cartridges to feed reliably? It is a drop in replacement, center feed for the BR cartridge. Thinking of trying one for a 20BR but wanted to know if anyone has a "success" story for feeding using this. Thanks

It will feed reliably. That being said, it is not a drop in. There needs to be a spacer installed into the rear of the box. I remove the spacer from a 223 rem. box and use it for the Wyatt. The Wyatt box hold two cartridges. If you are interested, a buddy of mine has two of them that he replaced with detachable magazines.

I was hoping that by what their ad says that a spacer would not be necessary....in the ad they say something about getting a benchrest follower but nothing about a spacer. PM me with what your friend has and I might be interested.....does he have the spacers put in them? Thanks

I just went thru building a 6BR repeater with a gun smith quit familiar with it...
The best was Bottom metal for AI single stack Mag's "Polymer"... 223... Then drill the top out to 308
to receive the 6BR case.... It has already been spaced shorter to accept 223 so the length
is fine even with longer bullets. I had it done on a remington 700 and it is working fine...
you may have a few ejection issues from time to time, but nothing you can't deal with

Been there and done that. I could not find a 5 round mag and do not like how far the 10 rounders stick out the bottom of the rifle. Do you know if there are 5 round mags available?

Talked to Wyatt's and they acknowledge that you do need to put a spacer in the back of the box.....spacer thickness is dependent on how long of a bullet you use and that is why they don't put one in to start with. They say the BR follower is a flat follower that is needed because of the centerfeed box.

Timeout, I sent you a PM.

Thanks
