Wyatt extended magazine installation questions

Wyatt has come out with a 3.22” box for the 700 SA. Has anyone here installed one ? How hard was getting the action to feed correctly ?
I also haven’t found bottom metal listed that is made to fit. Has anyone here modified bottom metal to work with this box ? It doesn’t look like there would be enough metal left in front of the trigger guard for the latch. I have both the 3.10 box and the 3.22 box on hand and I’m waiting for the bottom metal from PTG that is made to match the 3.10 box. I’ll install the 3.10 for the time being but I may eventually want to install the 3.22” box. Any tips welcomed.

Where did you get your 3.22 Box? I can't find anything like it in their website?

From what I read it only works with a rem 700 and you have to mill the ejection port back plus the mag box mortise

By the time you’re done with the 3.323” box there’s nothing left of the mortise. You need a new bolt stop also because the factory can’t be cut back that much. Back of the ejection port has to be cut and the feed rail cut some also. It doesn’t have to be a Remington but it does have to be an action that uses a Remington factory style bottom bolt stop release. There’s not enough room left for a side bolt release.

I have both a canoe type and regular BDL aluminum bottom metal coming. I’ll see if the standard metal will work.

I haven’t done any machining yet but putting the parts up together it looks like it will work fine.
