I had the good fortune of winning this gem of an optic at a competition this weekend. Coincidentally, the hunting rifle build that I'd *love* to place this on top of is on hold, so I would like to sell it to help fund the competition optic I desperately need for my F-TR gun.

Optic is brand new in box, unmounted, and includes all original accessories, paperwork, and case candy - the box was only unsealed to take pictures for you fine folks. I realize my transaction count here is low, and I would be happy to take custom pics, facetime, etc to make sure we're all comfortable with the transaction.

I'm pricing this competitively at $1150 shipped. You're saving roughly $150 off of the current street price, and at least a hundred in sales tax.

Willing to do a straight trade for a Vortex Golden Eagle in excellent condition.

Hi Everyone -

After receiving some thoughtful feedback on this post from the match director, and mulling that feedback over, I must admit that I stepped in it, and I'm going to do my best to own this situation.

My time in the shooting community has been brief - and much of what I've learned away from my time spent practicing and meeting folks at my rifle club has been from the forums I've been combing through for information. In that time I've seen folks on the 'Hide, on Reddit, and sometimes even folks on here parting ways with prize table gifts - and this caused me to garner an impression over the last year that it's a rather common and accepted practice to monetize prize table awards that one "can't use". I assumed that my prize should be no different - and boy was I wrong.

I simply was not thinking about the generosity involved with the companies who donate inventory items for the prize table, nor was I considering the match organizers own hard work that went into coordinating said prizes. I'm sorry that it took my match director speaking out for me to come to my senses, but I'm glad he did - and I am truly grateful to chalk this up to learning experience and that I'll least get a chance to do what is right.

I've been able to follow up both with my match director, and with the fine folks in the marketing department at Vortex, who graciously allowed me to let my apologies be known and own my mistake.

The sale is off, and this Razor will sit patiently until I can begin working on my hunting rifle build later in the Winter. Thank you all for your interest in the scope, and for graciously talking some sense into me.

Mea Culpa.

Vender’s are so happy to see the awards up for sale ?
They gave it away, it's not theirs anymore to care about one way or the other. I see prizes go up for sale constantly. What's the point in keeping a prize that you can't/won't use, just to make the manufacturer happy?

There are many match directors that go out of their way procure item from vendors that would disagree.

And if you have had to answer the question, “why should I donate to your match, they just show up on line” it’s pretty difficult to convince them to give a 2nd time.

So what should someone do with a prize that they have no real use for?
