Wtf trimmer

Just getting into reloading and just watched the video on the wtf trimmer and was wondering about your opinions on it but my main question is int the video the bench he is using has what appears to be some aluminum or steel channels that are used to secure things to the bench are these on every bench are they needed where do you purchase them do any of you have plans or suggestions for a well designed build for a bench? Probably seems like a silly question but have never seen someone reload before.

I think it is "wft" not "wtf". The latter is an expression often uttered upon shooting an unexplained wayward shot! ::) :o ;D

I use the WFT. It trims off the shoulder and not the case head so all necks are the same length. For me it's loads faster than the old tech style. For a bench, I have mine attached to a wall. You want something solid, not wobbly. If you're not close to a steel supplier, some structural metal can be found at HD, Lowe's or a good hardware store. Having said all that, see if you can find someone at your range that reloads and have him give you some tips.

Judging by my experience with the .308 version of this thing, I think "WTF" is the correct initials for it. WTF did I buy this thing for? It's difficult to adjust and inconsistent in trimmed length. It only works on already sized cases. It now sits on my shelf unused, and I am using the REAL WFT, the Sinclair/Wilson one.

I have one of these in .223 Rem. and it works just fine. Faster and more accurate than any other I've ever used. FWIW, I always trim after sizing.
