As was pointed out by knowledgeable people, March scopes are still being manufactured.
The distributors in the USA are SWFA.com, EuroOptics.com, LongRangeSupply.com and Whiteoakarmament.com. That last one specializes in the 1-4.5X scopes for Service Rifle competition.
I am going to be at SHOT show in the March booth again this year, and that's in 10 days from now. I believe they are speeding up their build-to-order system and I will find out more about it during SHOT.
BTW, March has just announced that they are extending the warranty from 5 years to 10 years, fully transferable. It's based on the date of manufacture so ownership history is not an issue. In fact, they state that if it's a manufacturing defect or problem, they will fix it free of charge even after the warranty period.

I can tell you from firsthand experience that he was not!
i have just received my 1060HM. As it was explained to me, there are so many combinations of scope, reticle, illuminated/non-illuminated that very few dealers can afford to carry a lot of inventory. What happens is that they put in a chunk of inventory only to have customers wanting to purchase the one they don't stock. These are $3k and $4k scopes, not Nike running shoes. That said, March built my scope to order and shipped it in 5 weeks. If you want something off the shelf, BassPro has all kinds of stuff.
