wsm on a long action

Be throwing the idea of a Wsm build for quite some time. And I know there just not ideal when loading the heavies in a short action when being mag fed, and work decent in a medium action but pretty much stuck with with defiance or tikka, so I was wondering who’s done them on a long action? What action and mag system? Any feeding problems?
Its the only way to build one. I like the HS precision 3 round dbm for feeding wsm or saum in a LA. Extremely smooth.

What action are you running. I have a buddy with a new 270.wsm hs precision rifle that he wants me to build off of but figured it’s provably a true short action and won’t work.

I've built a couple of 6.5-300WSMs on Remington long actions. Open the feed lips a little and use a cheap Cabelas Quick Klip DBM or the HS Precision DBM as mentioned above and they feed just fine.

When building a 300 wsm on a Rem 700/ variant long action, is a 300 RUM action the best donor because of the cartridge width and feed lips?
How about a M5 DBM with AICS mags? Since the 300 wsm brass is .550", the same as the 300 RUM, does s guy need a 300 RUM Aics mag? How about a 338 Lapua mag? The AICS 300 win mag magazine is too narrow for the 300 wsm, isn't it?
Thanks
