wrong Howa HCR mags (don’t know where to post)

Bought Howa HCR .308. All sources (Howa ads, reviews, postings, etc) relate it uses AI-style or AICS mags. Not so for me. They are too long (f to b). Interesting note - tho all pictures show HCR mag release between trigger guard and mag well, my MR is in front of mag well. Can anyone explain this mystery?

Call Legacy Sports in Nv and get the answer straight from them.

Correction.
It was sold as an HCR but actually is a Howa ACP chassis (very similar but uses proprietary Howa mags).
I will be interested in comparing it to an HCR, but aside from mag issue - I like the stock. Sorry for the misinfo.
