Would you shoot a young pup coyote?

The ol lady an me disagree on this one. I say the only good coyote is a dead one.... so would you shoot a young pup if the opportunity presented itself?

I befriended a den of pups one year that were in my road daily. I would drop off leftovers every cpl days in the ditch near the area tbey were coming to the road. For all my good deeds I was rewarded by the rotten lil bastages trying to kill my dogs for 2 years.
So I guess my answer is YES. I would beat them to death with a stick if I had a chance. I seldom hunt anymore and in general lack the desire but never miss the opportunity to shoot a coyote.

State of SC Wild life put a camera system out by a coyote den in the Spring to count how many dead fawns the pair of coyotes brought back to the den to the pups...23 is the correct answer.

So, you ask would you kill them? My answer is yes, as many as possible, blow a wounded up call on your last shot fired, be prepared to shoot more.

Coyotes are a menace to the state's Natural Resources.

I had someone ask me a similar question while I was trapping coons and caught a small one. My response...after dispatching it....was that it would be bigger next month and eating turkey eggs shortly after that. No such thing as a good yote or coon.

If you see what they do to a cow down trying to give birth, you'll have no trouble.... John
Funny you say that. Was shooting ground hogs one morning over some cows in a valley. One cow had just given birth to a calf. Looked like a few coyotes attacking the cow but turned out that they were after the calf and eating calfs umbilical cord. Wound up killing two before the scenario ended. Never went to retrieve the coyotes but let the farmer know what happened. Talk about a grateful farmer. Later that week we saw him again and he lost two calves to coyotes since that day. Turned out both coyotes I killed were young dogs from that spring.

All day every day. Around here the intent is to get rid of em. Also people who tell me not to shoot padawgs till the pups are out have no clue.

You saw the better scenario!... wait until you ride up to a cow on the ground that was giving birth and the coyotes ate the calf and right on into the the mother,.... calf was dead but not the cow but she was missing about 30lbs of flesh!... and all you have is a rock to bash her brains in to put her out of her misery!.... you will develop a hatred for them as I have and pups grow into adults!.... they all die!
