I have several of the older style 700 triggers that I've taken out of guns over the years that I am wanting to get tuned. Was wanting to see if any of you guys knew where I could send them to get them worked on. Thanks
I purchased one here on this forum and when I received it, it was at 2.3 lbs, perfect for my hunting rig. After getting the gun back from getting cerakoted, it for some reason was at 6+ lbs. I wasn't happy so not sure what happened. I tried to tune it back but could only get it down to 4+ lbs. Not sure what was done to get it down to 2 3 lbs but it's impossible to get it there now.I have several of the older style 700 triggers that I've taken out of guns over the years that I am wanting to get tuned. There not the x pro triggers they're the old style Remington 700 triggers with the two adjustment screws in the front. Just didn't want to throw them away. Have jewels and thimney and most of my guns.

I do have Shilens in most of my hunting 700s. I just have a couple older Remington triggers I'd like worked down a bit. I really like how the older ones feel once there tuned down to 2-2.5 lbs.Just a thought?
Sell them and buy a Good after market Trigger . Depending on your shooting needs Timney to Jewel ang $$$ are out there?
Good Luck

I have two that Neil has done for me and they are excellent. He typically does very nice work on them.Just talked to Neil Jones . I'm going to send him 2 triggers and see how he does $75 each I don't think it's too bad of a price. And he's going to thin the trigger shoe down also. www.neiljones.com
He did a couple for me. Both break crisp at 1.5 lbs.Just talked to Neil Jones . I'm going to send him 2 triggers and see how he does $75 each I don't think it's too bad of a price. And he's going to thin the trigger shoe down also. www.neiljones.com
No he pulled it before handDid they cerakote the trigger? If so theres your answer but if not the cerakote thats in the trigger recess is squeezing the side plates of the trigger against the sear
No he pulled it before hand
I did have to drill out the holes to the original size removing the cerakote that did get in them.if there is cerakote in the cutout where the trigger goes in thatll do it or if he had to beat the pins in thru the cerakote in the holes thatll mess it up too.
